Access to quality healthcare is one of the most important issues facing Stamford—and it’s something I will never stop fighting for.
Over the past few years, we’ve seen growing pressure on GP services, hospital appointments, and local health facilities. I’ve stood with residents, campaigners, and our MP Alicia Kearns to fight any attempt to reduce access to local healthcare services.
But defending what we have is only the start—we must also be ambitious about the future. That means pushing for a new GP practice to meet Stamford’s growing needs, expanding services at Stamford Hospital, and ensuring investment reaches our area so residents can access timely appointments and the care they deserve.
It also means improving mental health support, protecting public health programmes, and making sure our community is not left behind when it comes to NHS services.
Working with local health leaders, I’ll continue to champion a healthcare system that works for everyone—whether you’re booking a routine check-up or facing a more serious challenge.
Healthcare shouldn’t be a postcode lottery. I’ll do all I can to make sure Stamford has the facilities, staffing, and support to keep our community healthy—now and for generations to come.
