I’ve lived and worked in Stamford for most of my life, and I’m proud to represent the Stamford East Division on Lincolnshire County Council. I also serve as a Stamford Town Councillor for St Mary's and had the honour of being Mayor of Stamford for 2024/25.
I was first elected to serve my local area in 2011, aged just 20, as a South Kesteven District Councillor. Since then, I’ve held a number of senior roles, including Cabinet Member for Corporate Services & Communications, Deputy Leader, and from 2019 to 2023, Leader of the Council. During my time as Leader, I was responsible for shaping the direction of a council serving 155,000 residents across 365 square miles of South Lincolnshire—developing strategy, setting budgets and representing the district at regional and national level.
Since 2021, I have been elected to Lincolnshire County Council, where I continue to work hard for Stamford—championing improvements to our roads, supporting investment in local businesses, protecting public services and making the case for better healthcare, education, and broadband access. I also sit on the Executive of the Conservative Councillors’ Association and the Local Government Association’s Local Infrastructure & Net Zero Board.
I care deeply about Stamford’s heritage, but I also believe in looking forward with ambition. Whether it’s backing our High Street, protecting green spaces, or improving local infrastructure, I want to see our town thrive—not just for today, but for future generations.
Outside of local politics, I work in Public Affairs and Communications, where I work on development projects across the Midlands. Prior to this, I spent a decade working in Parliament for two MPs, Nick Boles and Gareth Davies. I was closely involved in managing several successful General Election campaigns as Agent in the Grantham & Stamford constituency, covering everything from campaign planning and fundraising to compliance and communications.
Earlier in my career, I worked for one of the UK’s leading retailers, Waitrose, and have always balanced my public service with a strong grounding in the private sector.
If you’d like to get in touch, I’d be delighted to hear from you.
