Our local businesses are at the heart of Stamford’s success. From independent shops and family-run cafes to high street staples and professional services, they provide jobs, drive footfall, and give our town its vibrant, welcoming atmosphere.
As your County Councillor, I’ve always stood up for Stamford’s business community—and I will continue doing just that. I’m campaigning for further investment to enhance Stamford’s key gateways, making our entrances more attractive and accessible for visitors, shoppers, and residents alike.
I'm proud to support the incredible work of the Shop Stamford team, who champion local trade and promote our town as a destination to visit and enjoy. Their energy and creativity deserve recognition—and more backing from across the council.
In the coming months, rising bollards will be installed on the High Street to help manage traffic, improve safety for pedestrians, and enhance the overall shopping experience. This is a long-awaited project that will make a real difference to our town centre environment.
But we can’t stop there. I will continue to push for policies and funding that support business growth, boost our high street, and keep Stamford thriving. By investing in our commercial spaces, improving infrastructure, and promoting the town far and wide, we can ensure Stamford remains a great place to live, work, and do business.
